What are you compelled to do?
I sit here today getting ready to share a part of the story of how God chooses to use us in His master plan. Why? Why would he do that? Why would an all powerful God choose to use something so insignificant? Because he doesn't want any doubt who is responsible. Think about it. God wants to flow through each of us, so that he will get all the glory. Jesus Christ reconciles us to God so that we can now blow the minds of this world. You are choosen and you have a purpose. Then how do we discover that purpose? Through times of prayer. Not any old prayer, but prayer that searches scripture and discovers what God has to say about you, your family, your job, your church, and your future. Then you will be able to understand how and what you should pray for. Look at Daniel, in Daniel 9:1-4, he says, "I understood scripture and the word of the Lord." This understanding caused or compelled him to pray and fast. What is your understanding of what God has to say about our nation and your family? Does that understanding drive you to prayer and fasting? Seeking God for His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. This is where prayer becomes incredibly powerful. This is where your prayer life goes to another level. Taking it from just a list, to the prayers that have an understanding behind them of what God's will is, then coming into agreement with it. Prayer is a gift! It is a priviledge we have through the blood of Jesus Christ. So the question is, what are you compelled to do?
